Weber

Since George Stephen invented the first Weber Kettle in Illinois, USA in 1951, Weber has been a pioneering barbecue company. George’s original ‘covered barbecue’ changed the way people thought about cooking outdoors. The proud history of Weber in Australia began in 1978 when a young barbecue enthusiast, Ross McDonald, started selling Weber Kettles in Australia. His business continues to represent Weber in Australia and New Zealand today. Like George, innovation was always in front of mind for Ross. He introduced Australia to the outdoor barbecue roast in the 1980’s and changed the way Australians barbecue forever. Since that time, Weber has been a major part of Australia’s outdoor entertaining lifestyle – pioneering new cooking techniques, building the world’s best barbecues and helping Australians cook magnificent barbecue food. In 2003, the Australian barbecue landscape was again changed forever – the quality, efficiency, ease-of-use and versatility of the Weber Q once again revolutionised barbecuing in Australia.
