Tadpole is an Auckland-based rock band formed in 1994, known for fusing alternative rock, metal, and electronic elements with high energy and emotional intensity. Their debut album The Buddhafinger (2000) reached #2 in the NZ charts and went multi-platinum, spawning hits like “For Me,” “Backdoor,” and “Alright.” Their follow-up The Medusa (2002) also cracked the Top 10. After years of line-up changes, they disbanded in 2006, but in 2024 reformed to tour with a new lead vocalist and revisit their legacy.
