JET are a Melbourne-based rock band formed in 2001, comprised of Nic Cester (vocals, rhythm guitar), Chris Cester (drums, vocals), Cameron Muncey (lead guitar, vocals), and Mark Wilson (bass).
They made their breakthrough with the 2003 debut Get Born, featuring the hit “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” which propelled them to international success. Their subsequent albums Shine On (2006) and Shaka Rock (2009) cemented their status in the Aussie rock scene.
Jet disbanded in 2012, reformed in 2016, took a brief hiatus, then reunited again in 2023. In 2023 they were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
They’ve sold over 6.5 million albums worldwide.
