When Veronica Moreno emigrated from Mexico to the United States in 1977, she found the tortillas there lacked the authentic flavour she grew up with.
With no formal training but a deep passion for her heritage, she began making tortillas from family recipes. In 1988, Veronica and her husband Eduardo started selling them locally in Atlanta.
Today, OLÉ Mexican Foods Inc. is the largest family-owned tortilla maker in the USA. Its flagship brand, La Banderita, is loved coast to coast and internationally, proudly becoming a favourite in Australia.
