Goose on the Loose was born in 2014 out of our passion for smallgoods, equally fuelled by our dismay of mass-produced supermarket ‘substitutes’, from the onset our goal was not only to promote the finest traditional Italian smallgoods but to produce a range of artisan Salami unique to the Australian market using the finest Australian ingredients
In early 2015 we introduced our Kangaroo & Chilli salami, a hybrid of unique Australian flavour and traditional Italian production skills, this was soon followed by Wild Boar & Fennel Salami, a more traditional Italian combination is hard to imagine.
2016 witnessed the creation of what has rapidly become our ‘flagship’ product, Duck & Juniper Berry Salami, the traditional Salami style and the Duck’s unique ‘meaty’ flavour result in a truly sensational taste experience.
2017 saw us win our first awards, Bronze for both the Kanagaroo & Mild Chilli and Duck & Juniper Salami, not bad for a first attempt. This was followed by the release of ‘Ciocolatto Salumi’, a sweet Salami in the style of Calabrese coupling Chilli with the subtle bitterness of Italian Dark Chocolate.
2018 started with the much anticipated release of Venison with cranberry & Pink Peppercorn Salami and, not wanting to rest on our laurels, the creation of a Beef & Horseradish Salami which is due for release to the public in April.
Our drive and enthusiasm for providing our customers with the best produce available has seen our business grow dramatically in the few short years we’ve been running, growth we expect to see continue over the coming years as we create and introduce new, unique and exciting Australian made products for the Australian public.
