Founded in 2017 as a competition BBQ team, Black Dog BBQ has grown into a business focused on education, local manufacturing, & community impact. Since then, we’ve hosted over 50 American-style BBQ classes, teaching more than 1,000 people to cook confidently, both on the BBQ & in the kitchen.
We provide catering across the Greater Wellington Region & also operate our taco trailer at events, bringing our great smoked meat tacos straight to the community.
We offer a range of locally blended & packaged rubs, developed after years of refinement. Our rubs are gluten-free, with two sugar-free options, making them versatile & inclusive.
We will have smoked meat samples at Meatstock showcasing the full range of rubs.
