Introducing the Beefs – the ultimate purveyors “pub-pop” goodness. Based between Perth and Sydney, The Beefs founded their musical haven in 2018 when frontman Sammy Smith decided to round up some talented mates and cook up a musical feast for the ages.
In the kitchen of their tunes, you’ll find a dash of infectious pop melodies and a
sprinkle of rock ‘n’ roll charm. Marinated together with catchy hooks and relatable
lyrics, and voilà – you’ve got the signature sound of The Beefs. It’s the kind of
music that’ll make you want to hoist a pint in one hand and dance with a mate in the other.
Their debut EP ‘Country Member’ is equipped with everything that embodies mateship, schooners, and dry Aussie banter. And who better to whip up this tasty concoction than the one and only Aria Award winner, Matt Corby, who lent his magic touch as co-producer.
The pandemic afforded the band the opportunity to call upon industry friends such as Kirin J Callinan, Julian Sudek (Genesis Owusu), Micheal Termonty (The Delta Riggs) and Lucy Lucy to collaborate on their latest singles Red Bellied Black Snake, In The Blood and Feel So Good which has amassed over 2 million streams and and saw an electric debut live show which was just the beginning of touring the sonic delights they have in store for their loyal fanbase – endearingly referred to as ”Beleefers”.
After much anticipation- their Sophomore E.P ‘Grillin Jams Volume 01’ is hot off the press with more catchy hooks, high-energy tracks and infections tongue in cheek lyrics proving to be another sizzling addition to The Beefs discography- so much in fact that iconic Aussie swimwear brand Speedos used one of the songs to soundtrack their global campaign for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
With Sammy’s charismatic vocals leading the charge and the band’s contagious energy and chemistry packed tighter than a beer garden, they bring the spirit of the pub to every gig, creating an electrifying experience that’ll leave you grinning from ear to ear.
If you’re up for a good time, grab a cold one, shins up tins up, and dive into the world of The Beefs.
