NGKnives: The Art of Making is a husband-and-wife-run blacksmithing studio based in Gatton, Queensland. Founded by Nick and Samantha Graham, NGKnives exists to bring the ancient craft of forging into the hands of everyday Australians.
From first-time makers to seasoned creators, our workshops are designed to be hands-on, empowering, and unforgettable. Nick brings nearly a decade of bladesmithing experience, while Samantha specialises in creating an inclusive, welcoming environment and running the business behind the scenes.
At festivals and events, NGKnives brings the forge to the people. We run live blacksmithing demonstrations all day, showcasing traditional techniques and modern creative forging. Everything made at the demo—hooks, bottle openers, small forged pieces—is handed out to patrons, giving visitors a genuine, take-home experience of the craft.
NGKnives is proudly community-driven, mental-health-focused, and dedicated to keeping heritage trades alive through education, accessibility, and connection.
NGKnives will be selling the following hand-crafted products and class-related items:
- Hand-forged knives (compliant with QLD legislation)
